Simon Pegg Hard at Work in Perth

‘The Fresh Pegg’ may have only arrived in Perth last week, but he’s already hard at work shooting his new film….and going to the pub…and “wowing” at kangaroos. It’s a hard life being an internationally acclaimed movie star.

The Gloucester-born comedian/writer/actor is taking a turn as a murderer in the Aussie film KILL ME THREE TIMES. The crime thriller is written by James McFarland and helmed by the director of RED DOG, Kriv Stenders. Simon is also joined by Australian actress Teresa Palmer who we recently saw in the film WARM BODIES.

Luckily, based on his tweets, Pegg isn’t of the method acting variety (how exactly do you ‘method act’ a murderer?!). Even the unusually wet weather in Perth is hardly dampening his sunny spirits.

Just this morning he tweeted:

“I imagine at some point I’ll stop saying ‘wow, cool’ at the kangaroos I see on my way into work. Not this morning though”

On Saturday he stated:

“People keep recommending a bar called The Lucky Shag. Australia you beautiful bitch, I don’t think I could love you more at this point”

A ‘beautiful bitch’? how’s that for a slice of fried gold?!

KILL ME THREE TIMES is reportedly a short shoot, with Pegg only expected to be in the country for around a month.

The film is scheduled for release next year, though no indication of dates yet.

Sian's love for movies spawned from having a tight mother whose generosity stretched only to hiring movies once a week for entertainment. As a pre-teen Sian spent more pocket money then she earned on cinema tickets and thus sought a job at the cinema. Over the next decade she rose to be one of the greats in her backwater, six-screen cinema complex, zooming through the ranks from candy bar wench with upselling superpowers, to pasty projectionist, to a manager rocking a pencil skirt. Sian went on to study Journalism at university though feels her popcorn shovelling days were far more educational
