Warner Bros. has announced today that Will Smith, Tom Hardy, Margot Robbie and Jared Leto will be joined by Jai Courtney and Cara Delevingne in the upcoming Suicide Squad movie which is rumoured to start shooting next April.
Many rumours have been floating around over the last few weeks so its great that the studio has finally confirmed exactly who is cast and also who they are playing.
Leto is taking on the Joker, Smith is playing Deadshot, Hardy is the group leader Rick Flagg, Margot as Harley Quinn, Courtney will be Boomerang and lastly Delevingne as Enchantress.
David Ayer is writing the script as well as directing, Ayer wrote and directed films such as Fury, Sabotage, End of Watch and Street Kings.
Greg Silverman, president, creative development and worldwide production, said in the announcement.”The Warner Bros. roots are deep on this one,”

The movie has a release date of Aug. 5, 2016.
