Tarzan

Tarzan

Last year we brought you news on the reboot of Tarzan.

Now with the shoot being complete, Tarzan has been set for a July 2016 release date in IMAX format. It certainly seems like the studio has a lot of confidence in Tarzan as July is one of the most coveted release date for movies. It is also set to face off with tent-pole movies such as Batman v Superman, Independence Day II and X-Men: Apocalypse, all of which will be released within weeks of each other.

Stars involved are Christoph Waltz as Captain Rom, Djimon Hounsou as Chief Mbonga, Samuel L. Jackson will play George Washington Williams, Margot Robbie as Jane Porter, and of course Alexander Skarsgard as Tarzan. Original reports suggested that there won’t be any loin cloths, however if Margot Robbie is to be believed, Alexander will indeed be without clothes for parts of the film.

We know that the new film will show Tarzan “having acclimated to life in London, but will be called back to his former home in the jungle to investigate the activities at a mining encampment”.

Tarzan will be released in 2D and 3D format.

Best known as the international woman of mystery and the Chandler Bing among her friends. Monika grew up in a movie loving family in Europe, which meant she was not subjected to much censorship.  Her love of all things horror and action began very early on as a result.  Despite it all, she is not as big of an oddball as everyone (including family) originally predicted.   Thinks the term "chick flick" should be banned worldwide.
