The Great and Powerful Bruce

The Great and Powerful Bruce

Sam Raimi as a director has a particular style, however often divided into two catagories. He’s either the over the top gory horror comedy maestro or the multimillion dollar comic adaptation puppeteer of spiderman, throughout all his movies he has managed to include at least one of his stamps, whether it be the trusty Oldsmobile, Perspective falling, stop motion or a certain charasmatic character who loves to be the anti hero.

Yep you guessed it Bruce Campbell is dusting off his boots and getting ready for another favor for his old buddy Sam (or is it the other way around). He will be making a cameo in Oz: The great and Powerful, Bruce had this to say on his twitter page..

“I. Am. In. Oz. Sam Raimi refuses to tell me what character I will portray. Just know that the role is PIVOTAL.”

I dont mind if he is in it for two seconds, two minutes or the whole two hours, I love this guy and he will bring sass to Oz for sure.

For those not in the know:

“Oz The Great and Powerful” imagines the origins of L. Frank Baum’s beloved character, the Wizard of Oz. When Oscar Diggs, a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz, he thinks he’s hit the jackpot—fame and fortune are his for the taking—that is until he meets three witches, Theodora, Evanora and Glinda, who are not convinced he is the great wizard everyone’s been expecting. Reluctantly drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its inhabitants, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is too late. Putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity—and even a bit of wizardry—Oscar transforms himself not only into the great and powerful Wizard of Oz but into a better man as well.”

Campbell joins James Franco, Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz, Zach Braff and Michelle Williams for Oz, due in March 2013.

what character do you think he will play?
