The Heat spinoff plans are underway

Hilarious comedy THE HEAT which was in cinemas earlier this year has been given a spinoff after a large achievement at the box office. THE HEAT made $230 million during its cinema stint.

The spinoff will focus mostly on Mullins (McCarthy) sisters (Jamie Denbo, Jessica Chaffin) that were briefly introduced in a confrontational scene with Ashburn (Bullock). Paul Feig will be continuing the laughs with the sequel with Jesse Henderson producing and Tricia McAlpin writing the screenplay.

The plot is still a work in progress, however, it is under speculation that Denbo and Chaffin will be the centre of attention. Feig has worked with the duo before and isn’t too subtle when it comes to complimenting their sense of humour. “Jamie and Jessica are two of the funniest people on this planet… They took small roles in THE HEAT and turned them into characters worthy of their own movie. I can’t wait to unleash Beth and Gina onto the world. Run for your lives.”

Although the film was quite successful, it seems as though Sandra Bullock will not be returning to the sequel.

Stacey's favourite films include: Titanic (1997), Cast Away (2000), Moulin Rouge (2001), The Notebook (2004), Kill Bill vol.1 and 2 (2003, 2004), Ruby Sparks (2012) and the list goes on.
