The Hobbit Gives Air Safety Advice?

New Zealand does get a little over excited about things it seems….The nation went stir crazy during The Lord of the Rings craze with entire streets transformed and decorated to celebrate the release of the films – they even made Frodo stamps…they did it all! And they’re ramping it back up for The Hobbit with a very strange airline safety message…

Air New Zealand, the self-proclaimed “airline of Middle Earth” has released an in flight safety video featuring all your favourite Middle Earth inhabitants, and even a cameo from Peter Jackson! Even J.R.R Tolkein’s great-grandsons make an appearance.

This is corny crapolla at it’s best people. I can’t work out whether to love it or boo Jackson for a shameless display of ‘cashing in’. Either way it’s amusing.
