This Week in Camelot

This Week in Camelot

“By order, summer lingers through to February. In Camelot!” Or so King Arthur very nearly sang in Lerner and Loewe’s hit Broadway musical CAMELOT. He might have been referring to the Camelot Outdoor Cinema in Mosman Park. Where by chance, this very week, you can see another musical entirely, the dazzling feature film THE GREATEST SHOWMAN (our review) starring Our Hugh (Jackman, natch).

Or perhaps you’d like to check out CALL ME BY YOUR NAME, Oscar nommed for Best Picture and Lead Actor (Timothée Chalamet). Perhaps the eye-opening FLORIDA PROJECT is more your speed (also Oscar nominated for Willem Dafoe’s performance). If a science-fiction tinged drama peaks your interest, then DOWNSIZING starring Matt Damon could be what you’re after (our review). And if it’s straight-down the-line emotional drama then you can’t go past BREATHE starring Claire Foy and Andrew Garfield (our review).

Right now is an excellent time to watch great movies under the stars during our lovely Perth summer nights. So why not Camelot? Or as King Arthur sang, “In short, there’s simply not/A more congenial spot/For happily-ever-aftering than here in Camelot.”
