The official synopsis for the upcoming Marvel masterpeice ‘Thor: The Dark World’ has just been released via Marvel Studios. The entire cast from the first film is back for the second instalment including Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddleston, Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins, Idris Elba, Stellan Skarsgård, Zachary Levi, Ray Stevenson, Jaimie Alexander, Tadanobu Asano, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Christopher Eccleston. ‘Thor: The Dark World’ is also being directed by Alan Taylor who has been behind the camera on such projects as TV’s Game of Thrones, Mad Men and Boardwalk Empire taking over from Kenneth Branagh who helmed the first Thor film.
Marvel’s Thor: The Dark World continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel’s Thor and Marvel’s The Avengers, Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos… but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.

Let’s see Disney/Marvel make a gazillion dollars next year, Disney has two Marvel films starting off with Iron Man 3 in April then Thor: The Dark World on the 14th of November mix that in with Disney’s other titles including Oz The Great and Powerful, Monsters University, The Lone Ranger plus the 3D Re-releases in Monsters Inc and The Little Mermaid I think Disney is shaping up to have a sensational year.
