The Hollywood Reporter has broken the news about casting Uncle Ben for the Spiderman reboot. Directed by Marc Webb the previous casting announcements have included Andrew Garfield who can currently be seen on screens in the excellent film ‘The Social Network’ as Peter Parker/Spiderman and Emma Stone who recently was on screen in the fun teen comedy ‘Easy A’ as Gwen Stacy.
Martin Sheen is in final negotiations to play Uncle Ben who along with his Aunt May were both pivotal role models in Peter Parkers life. Sheen can be heard as the voice of the illusive man in the video game ‘Mass Effect 2’ and is involved in two films currently in post-production called ‘The Double’ and ‘Flatland’.
The cast being built for the Spiderman reboot is looking strong, it’ll definitely be worth seeing Marc Webb’s take on the character.
