Universal Pictures has announced the release date for their edge-of-your-seat science-fiction adventure EXTINCTION. The film is co-written by the Academy Award nominated screen-writer Eric Heisserer (Arrival) alongside Spenser Cohen and Bradley Caleb.
The film will be directed by West Australian Ben Young, coming off a sensational debut with his film HOUNDS OF LOVE. It stars Michael Peña (The Martian, Fury, Ant-Man) and Lizzie Caplan (The Interview, Now You See Me 2) with more cast to be announced. It is produced by the team of Todd Lieberman and Ben Hoberman who are coming off the massive hit Beauty and the Beast; their previous credits such as The Proposal, Surrogates and Insurgent.
EXTINCTION is set to open in Australia and New Zealand on Thursday, January 25, 2018.
