You may recall way back in 2013, when Kickstarter, the website where projects raise funds through crowd sourcing, had an amazing month in March/April ‘cuz fans of the TV series Veronica Mars pledged $5 million dollars to see a movie made of their favourite old TV show. Thus VERONICA MARS (the movie) became the fastest funded Kickstarter film project of all time.
Series creator Rob Thomas has worked his magic and the movie is due to hit US cinemas in March 2014. Apparently, it’s nine years later and Veronica (Kristen Bell) is forced to return to her hometown Neptune, when her old boyfriend Logan Echolls (Jason Dohring) is once again accused of murder.
