Winnie The Pooh Live-Action Flick!

Winnie The Pooh Live-Action Flick!

Despite only achieving moderate box office success with the 2011 WINNIE THE POOH flick, Disney has a new live-action version in the works.

The “silly old bear” joins Disney’s growing list of animated properties that are getting a new lease on life. Most recently, ofcourse, being CINDERELLA.

As a die-hard fan, the idea of Pooh wandering around in the real world is a little scary at first. But then, recent films like TED and PADDINGTON have integrated CGI and live-action almost seamlessly…I’m thinking this could actually work!

The studio has signed Alex Ross Perry to pen the adaptation (his portfolio to date includes mostly indie works). In this new version it is said an adult Christopher Robin (Winnie’s human pal) will return all grown up to revisit Pooh and the Hundred Acre Wood. I feel the tears stinging my eyes already! Why do I feel this is going to tug at the heartstrings?!

The film is in the very early stages of development – we’ll keep you updated!

Sian's love for movies spawned from having a tight mother whose generosity stretched only to hiring movies once a week for entertainment. As a pre-teen Sian spent more pocket money then she earned on cinema tickets and thus sought a job at the cinema. Over the next decade she rose to be one of the greats in her backwater, six-screen cinema complex, zooming through the ranks from candy bar wench with upselling superpowers, to pasty projectionist, to a manager rocking a pencil skirt. Sian went on to study Journalism at university though feels her popcorn shovelling days were far more educational
