The Academy for Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced the nominees for the 93rd Oscars – The Oscar telecast will air live on ABC at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on Sunday, April 25.(Channel 9 in Australia usually broadcasts it on Monday 26th in the morning)
Netflix’s Mank leads with 10 nominations, including noms for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, and Supporting Actress. Other major contenders include Nomadland, The Trial of the Chicago 7, Minari, The Father, and Sound of Metal, which each walked away with six nominations each. Just behind those films is Promising Young Woman and Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom with five nominations. Soul, One Night in Miami, and Borat Subsequent Moviefilm each earned three nominations.
