If you were loving movies in the 90’s Jonathan Hensleigh is a writer you would know about from films such as Die Hard with a Vengeance (1995), Jumanji (1995), The Saint (1997), Armageddon(1998) and Gone in 60 Seconds (2000) plus many more with his first writing gig with the Television Series The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles in 1992.
This time around he’s written and directed Liam Neeson & Laurence Fishburne in THE ICE ROAD which is about to open in Australian Cinemas.
We had a great discussion about the film including shooting in the incredible climate of “the ice road” but then moved onto his stellar career over a nearly 35minute chat (cut down for the edit) I asked him about working with Michael Bay and Armageddon where he tells the story of the studio pitch which is quite incredible – to what props he has kept over the years from his many films hes been involved in.
Enjoy watching my chat with Jonathan below and go check out THE ICE ROAD which opens in cinemas Thursday. Click here to read Laura’s review.
