Apparently five years is too long without a Robin Hood film; there are already multiple parties scrambling to bring us another….Even Leonardo DiCaprio has joined the fray! With origin movies being the genre of choice at present, Leo’s production company Appian Way is set to produce “a gritty reinvention of the classic character” via the flick ROBIN HOOD: ORIGINS. The...
Alien 5 to be Alien 3?
Earlier this week we mentioned that an Alien 5 film is on the way from District 9 filmmaker Neill Blomkamp, as it turns out it’s more like we’re getting Alien 3 again (no, it’s not a typo). Echoing Bryan Singer’s move with Superman Returns, the new Alien film looks like its acknowledging the original two films in the series only, and forgetting about Alien 3 and Alien: Resu...
Is Alien 5 Finally Happening?
It’s been almost two decades since the most recent instalment in the Alien franchise was released, Alien: Resurrection made its way to cinemas in 1997 from director Jean-Pierre Jeunet, series mainstay Sigourney Weaver and writer Joss Whedon (no we are not counting Aliens vs. Predator 1 and 2). The quasi-spin off Prometheus hit screens in 2012, with a sequel planned for 2016, however so far t...

Take a look at the winners below and my comments. Best Supporting Actor WINNER: JK Simmons for ...

Frozen The Broadway Stage Show!
As soon as my thespian Mother saw the movie FROZEN, she kept raving about how it simply had to be adapted to a stage show. Well, here you are Mum; you didn’t have to wait long! As the raging success of FROZEN continues, Disney is being cautious with how they exploit the title (whilst still promoting a steady flow of profit!). They’re slowly but surely rolling th...

Citizenfour Trailer
In June 2013, Laura Poitras and reporter Glenn Greenwald flew to Hong Kong for the first of many meetings with Edward Snowden. She brought her camera with her. The film that resulted from this series of tense encounters is absolutely sui generis in the history of cinema: a 100% real-life thriller unfolding minute by minute before our eyes. Poitras is a great and brave filmmaker, but she is also a ...
Trailer Debut – Cameron Crowe’s ALOHA
Cameron Crowe is one of those extremely picky directors, hes never gone down the path of studio franchises and bascially chooses what he wants to do because most of the time he writes the script aswell. We last saw him behind the camera in ‘We Brought A Zoo’ in 2011 prior to that it was ‘Elizabethtown‘ in 2005, but Crowe is most known for his movie’s ‘Almost Fam...
