Monika Keri

Best known as the international woman of mystery and the Chandler Bing among her friends. Monika grew up in a movie loving family in Europe, which meant she was not subjected to much censorship.  Her love of all things horror and action began very early on as a result.  Despite it all, she is not as big of an oddball as everyone (including family) originally predicted.   Thinks the term "chick flick" should be banned worldwide.

We Are Your Friends Review

After the official trailers were released, many were ready to write off We Are Your Friends as rubbish. Having DJ friends, being a regular in Los Angeles and on the Hollywood scene, I was intrigued to see how the story played out. So, is it as bad as people were predicting it to be? The main character is Cole Carter (Zac Efron), whose dream is to hit the big time in Hollywood as a disc jockey. He ...

Magic Mike XXL Review

Magic Mike XXL is here. So does it live up to all the hype the studio has put out there?  Let’s face it, not a lot of people care about its plot, the cinematography or the acting, so I’ll keep this review as light and as tongue in cheek as it should be. Mr Magic Mike himself has got what he strived for – his own furniture design business, but as it happens, not everything has gone as smoothl...

The Longest Ride Review

Nicolas Sparks fans rejoice, here comes another “critic proof” film adaption of one of his novels. The Longest Ride is set in North Carolina, where Sophia (Britt Robertson), an ambitious art student hell bent on getting out of NC, meets handsome Luke (Scott Eastwood, yes he is the son of who you think), a modern-day cowboy striving to become the number one bull rider in the world. Despite what it ...

Cinderella has been given the live action treatment a number of times since she originally appeared. So how does the 2015 version of Cinderella fair? At this point, it would be safe to say that most of us know the story of Cinderella. Young Ella (Lily James) unexpectedly loses her father, resulting in her having no family left other than her cruel stepmother (Cate Blanchett) and dim witted stepsis...
